San Diego, CA- Beal Racing, a 300mph NHRA nitro funny car team, has decided to withdraw from the NHRA U.S. Nationals that is slated to take place August 31- September 5 in Indianapolis. The team is instead going to utilize the weekend to test their new clutch setup and tune for the NHRA Midwest Nationals. As a result, Beal Racing has added the NHRA Toyota Nationals in Las Vegas to their race schedule. The event will take place October 27th-October 30th.
“We’ve invested in the right clutch parts to make the Beal Racing AutoAnything Funny Car more competitive on the race track,” stated team owner Chuck Beal. “We feel that with some more test time under our belts, we can figure out the best way to approach the setup come race day.”
Beal Racing’s next race is set for September 23- September 25 in St. Louis.
