San Diego, CA. (October 21, 2015) – Beal Racing is excited to announce their return to NHRA National Event action with AutoAnything as primary sponsor. The team will compete at the Toyota Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway from October 29th through November 1st and at the Auto Club Finals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona from November 12th through 14th. Driving the AutoAnything/Beal Racing nitro funny car will be Chuck’s grandson, Brandon Welch, in his professional debut.
“We have been out of competition for a few years, but the work never stopped. When I decided to give my grandson, Brandon, a shot in the driver’s seat, it meant building a new car and investing the time to ensure he was completely comfortable driving 10,000 horsepower at over 300 miles per hour,” said Chuck. “I’m very pleased with how the car and Brandon have performed in testing, and I look forward to mixing it up in NHRA competition with backing from the great folks at AutoAnything.”
The new chapter for Beal Racing comes with a new face at driver and new primary sponsorship from San Diego based AutoAnything, one of America’s fastest growing eCommerce retailers of automotive accessories and performance parts. Associate sponsorship comes from aFe POWER.
Brandon Welch, Chuck’s grandson and a 15-year veteran crew member, will make his professional debut looking to play Countdown spoiler.
“I’ve dreamed about making my professional debut since I was a kid running around our family’s alcohol funny car pits in the ‘80s,” Brandon reflects. “To compete with my grandfather tuning, primary sponsorship from AutoAnything, and the potential to play Countdown spoiler is the perfect scenario.”
According to Chuck, once Brandon earned his competition license this June, the pieces fell into place.
“Right about when Brandon earned his competition license we met with AutoAnything and I was blown away by how much we had in common,” said Chuck. “They are a San Diego based business with a strong family-owned background. As an automotive aftermarket parts retailer, they’re a perfect match with NHRA fans. Brandon actually worked in eCommerce marketing for years, so he’s a perfect representative. We look forward to showing them how loyal NHRA fans can be.”
Chuck looks forward to a new chapter for the AutoAnything/Beal Racing nitro funny car at the Toyota Nationals later this month.
